Privacy Policy & Terms of Use
Effective date: August 13, 2026 · Applies to the MQM Ops platform (web and mobile) operated by Miranda Quality Maintenance Inc. dba MQM Cleaning ("MQM", "we", "us").
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to everyone with an MQM Ops account: (a) MQM employees and office staff; (b) employees and supervisors of independent contractor companies ("service partners") that service MQM accounts; and (c) customer users of the Client Portal. It also applies to information about you submitted when you request access.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Identity and contact: full name, email address, phone number, employing company, role.
- Access requests: the details on the request form, and your record of acceptance of this policy.
- Work content: messages sent in the app, comments on inspections and work orders, supply requests, signatures on completed work.
2.2 Information collected when you work
- Location (GPS): when you clock in or out, and while you are on an active shift at a customer location, the app verifies your device position against the store's geofence. Location is used to confirm on-site presence and coverage. Location is not collected outside working time or outside shift activities.
- Photos: photos captured in the app (clock-in proof, before/after work photos, inspection photos, supply requests) are business records tied to the store and shift.
- Device information: device model and identifier. For anti-fraud reasons each login is bound to one phone; changing devices requires supervisor approval.
- Usage data: pages and functions used, timestamps, and technical logs needed for security and troubleshooting.
2.3 What we do NOT collect
- No biometric identifiers (no fingerprint, face or voice templates are stored by MQM Ops).
- No location tracking outside working time.
- No access to your personal photos, contacts or messages outside the app.
3. How we use your information
- Operate cleaning services: scheduling, time and attendance, coverage, dispatch and payroll/billing support.
- Verify service delivery to customers (proof of presence, inspections, photos, signatures).
- Prevent time fraud and unauthorized account sharing (geofence checks, one-device rule, punch review).
- Communicate with you about your work, account and safety.
- Meet legal, tax and contractual obligations, and protect MQM's legal rights.
We process this information to perform our contracts, to pursue legitimate business interests described above, to comply with law, and — where required — based on your consent, which you may withdraw.
4. How we share information
- Within the operation: with MQM staff, with the service partner company you work for, and with the serviced customer where proof of service is required (for example: inspection reports, arrival confirmation). Access follows role-based permissions.
- Service providers: hosting and infrastructure vendors that process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards (e.g., database and storage hosting, email delivery, web hosting).
- Legal: when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety and property of MQM, our workers or customers.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
5. Data retention
- Time and attendance records, work orders and inspection records: kept as business records for as long as required by applicable employment, tax and contract law.
- Location verifications: kept as part of the punch record they belong to.
- Access requests that are denied: deleted within 12 months.
- Account data: deleted or anonymized after account termination, except where retention is legally required.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit, stored with role-based access controls and row-level security, and access is limited to what each role needs. No system is 100% secure; if a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you and the authorities as required by law.
7. Your rights
Depending on your state of residence (including rights under Massachusetts law and other applicable U.S. state privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Request deletion of information that we are not legally required to keep;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise any right, email privacy@mqmcleaning.com. We respond within 30 days. Workers may also route requests through their supervisor or their employing company.
8. Workers of service partner companies
If you work for a service partner (independent contractor company), that company is your employer and controls your employment records. MQM processes your MQM Ops data as described here to coordinate and verify services under its agreement with your employer. Questions about employment terms belong to your employer; questions about MQM Ops data can go to either.
9. Children
MQM Ops is a workplace tool for adults. It is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app and update the effective date above. Continued use after the effective date means the updated policy applies.
Terms of Use
T1. Your account
- Your account is personal. Never share your password or let someone else punch, sign or inspect under your login — doing so is grounds for immediate account termination.
- Your login is bound to one device. Request a device change through your supervisor.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter.
T2. Acceptable use
- Use MQM Ops only for MQM-related work and only as permitted by your role.
- Do not attempt to access data or functions beyond your permissions, probe or disrupt the platform, or extract data for purposes unrelated to the services.
- Photos taken in the app must relate to the work. Do not photograph people without need, and follow customer site rules at all times.
T3. Monitoring notice
MQM Ops records operational activity (punches with GPS verification at the store, photos, approvals, usage logs) as business records. By using the platform during working time you acknowledge this operational monitoring, which exists to verify service delivery, safety and payroll accuracy — not to track you personally outside work.
T4. Intellectual property & confidentiality
The platform, its content and MQM's business information (customer lists, pricing, procedures) are confidential and proprietary. Access does not grant you any license beyond use of the platform for the services.
T5. Termination
MQM may suspend or terminate access at any time, including when work engagement ends or these terms are violated. Sections on confidentiality, records and legal rights survive termination.
T6. Disclaimers & liability
The platform is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, MQM disclaims warranties and limits its liability for indirect or consequential damages arising from platform use. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by law.
T7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA.
